The reason that zinc is such an issue is, of course, that it (along
with lead) has a very low boiling point and therefore is more likely
to be encountered as a problem for those of us not in a real
industrial environment. In other words iron induced metal fume fever
is unlikely to occur from using a blow-torch, but zinc induced metal
fume fever is.
