I have gotten a similar spotted effect by including large particles
of rust in the clay, Rust falls down my chimney pipe onto the damper
and it is about 16 mesh, I used a litte of that wedged into the clay.
A white glaze over that would show random spots.

More than one glaze, but the main one is probably a silica saturated
white.using straw or rice husk ash. You can use Phil Roger's
Synthetic Nuke (I've shared it in the past. Do a google search.
Subbing unwashed wood ash for the whiting will give you more variety.

I think it's a white Shino, over that yellow looking stoneware which iron s=
pots pretty heavily.

Mike
The peach blushes on the pots remind me of the pink reoxidation spots on
Kyoto stoneware. This implies (?) that the slip is porus inough to allow
reoxidation and has some iron to get the blush.

We saw an unloading in Mungyeong. A climbing kiln belonging to a
national treasure. He fires in 17 hours (no evidence of woodfiring.)_
You only get the pink blushing in oxidation.

This is called Kohiki in Japan, or Buncheong in Korea. It is white slip
over a very dark clay body, then a clear glaze applied over the slip,
usually once fired.
