i will not attempt to alter plans etc.
others know that kiln.

but, for sure.....use expanded metal under the brick floor.
you will thank me later.
it is so much better than asbestos, hardy board etc.
it does let the bottom of the kiln breath.

every kiln built should have an expanded metal base on
top of concrete block/ under the floor. it works like a dream.

same for the stack.
expanded metal lined with kaowool flue liners, soaked in itc100.
monolithic, tight stack. no leakes to burn the metal.
