Hi Kathy,

As for the Care Giver's responsibilities and charge, lot depends on what th=
e
recovering Stroke afflicted person is able to do...what was lost in the way
of function or mobility, temprement and disposition.

Are they ambulatory?

Can they think straight?

Can they speak and hear normally?

Do they need constant supervision?

Are they emotionally mature and 'realistic', of even sensible temprement,
interested in both neggotiating and accepting help, being co-operative a
Good Sport with the help given, and interested in having autonomy and self
determined action also where appropriate?

Or are they short tempered, resentful, grouchy, mean, violent, etc?

Give care as suggested by medical professionals, but my advise is to allow
yourself opportunities to have fun, make art, without guilt so that you
don't burn out and resent the person you are caring for.
