Well, was venting by Steve so I added that to the subject line.

We also have a local vendor, just a couple miles from school.
Working for Commonwealth of Virginia and they have put in place a system
called eVA, an electronic purchasing system. Vendors have to register AND
pay to be a part of this, but ALL state agencies MUST use this system.
Our vendor will not register, so I buy and get reimbursed through an accoun=

I have in the college's Foundation and I can bypass the eVA system.

Anyway, the vendor is a one man operation. Bought the business and sunk all
his savings into it. Past few years have not been kind to him, has much
smaller inventory. I ALWAYS call to see if he stocks something and to see i=

he is actually open. Send my students his way to purchase clay, so try to
help his business. If he doesn't have what I want, he will order for me, ge=

it in a week.

Small quantities, special stuff - I order from US Pigments (they know me an=

always give me a t-shirt at NCECA) or other times from Bailey's,
occasionally from Axner - depends on what I need.
