Hi

Great suggestions popping up!

How about the Space Needle? Really fun, great service, wonderful views as i=
t slowly rotates. Sometimes overlooked as a too obvious attraction. Bring =
a map so you can identify places -- if you're so inclined. Book ahead for =
reservations. Can do it on line. Had a great birthday luncheon up there rec=
ently.

Also any of the Ethan Stowell restaurants:

My wife and I have been to Anchovies and Olives, near where I work, and it
is excellent. My father and mother-in-law have been to How to Cook a Wolf,
and loved it...and they have published cookbooks, and reviewed restaurants
in Seattle for years.

Capitol Hill, a little up hill from the Convention Center, has a lot of
very good restaurants. Some more pricey or exotic than others. A good
place to take a group, reasonable pricing, and good Japanese styled food is
Boom Noodle:

If you want to combine a ferry ride with a meal, there are good restaurants
on Bainbridge Island, a short walk off the ferry. I strongly recommend
Shima Sushi:

http://shimasushi.com/

Shima is as good as some of the more expensive places in Seattle, in my
opinion. The seaweed salad is to die for.

If you're looking for something upscale in the Seattle area, I'd also like
to add Saltys on Alki Beach (great view of Seattle
skyline at night) for awesome seafood, and
Toulouse.
in Queen Anne.

As for things to do, I am a native to Whidbey Island and have to say that
Whidbey and the San Juans are THE most beautiful place on earth. Not like
I'm biased, though. :)
