signing bottom of pots

I know there is something I can use to sign the bottom of my green ware
because I let them get too dry to write on.
Some kind of oxide that you get powered and mix with water????

I have heard but cannot remember.

Amaco's black underglaze and a 10X liner paintbrush works for me.

I like to know first names=3D2C so Hey=3D2C=3D20

Bisque the pots and then use Black Iron Oxide or a dark stain to brush on y=
=3D
our sig.=3D20
Use a CMC gum solution to wet and suspend. The CMC =3D2Cwhen dried=3D2C als=
o fo=3D
rms a more durable=3D20
coat on your sig.
The bisque ware will be more absorbent than green ware so will take up more=
=3D
pigment.

So.....if you let them get too dry how did you trim or otherwise finish the=
=3D
pot bottoms?

Are you sure that you want to put your name on them anyway?=3D20

Recycling our oopses just makes the next ones possibly better if we are pay=
=3D
ing attention..
