teapot/basket handles

Does anyone know whether passion flower vines work well when used to
form handles for objects such as teapots? I have to do some serious
cutting back of a vine that is threatening to smother all in its path
in a section of my garden and the vines, even without flowers, are
lovely, great little spirals/tendrils interspersed with the leaves
along the vine. I know "test, test. test" and I will if the answer
is "I don't know" but if the answer is "no, they are too brittle when
dry" then I would prefer to spend my time on something else.

Thank you, you are a great deep well of experience and knowledge.
