The Cochise College pitfire is next Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Douglas, AZ=

Campus of Cochise College. It is quite an event , with a 180' X 5' X 5'
serpentine pit, hundreds of pots, food, pottery demonstrations and sales =

,
music ,dance, kids activities, and an incredible performance by the
international pyrotechnic dance troupe Flam Chen. People bring ceramic
pieces for the pit from all over this rather rural section of SE AZ.

I have been subbing over at the Sierra vista Campus of Cochise college fo=

There is a beautiful scene in the documentary : Horseback riders bearin=

got chills up my spine when I saw them do this. the bit captured on vid=

Especially in light of all the talk about administrations and safety
rules, etc. this is one example where the college is 100 percent behind i=

Stephani -

Thanks so much for the link you sent. I've watched it twice now. Can't wai=
t
for the video of this years' pitfire! It's amazing how behind the whole
project the college and its administration are and how many departments get
involved. Makes me want to be a student there!

Reminded me a bit (just a bit, really) of Burning Man - the nighttime
scenes.

Thanks again.
