I'll be there, but probably not with bells on. This is a major showing
of Texas clay and I enjoy seeing the regulars as well as the new work
each year. Anyone interested in clay work, maker or buyer, should be
in Gruene this weekend (October 22 & 23). The festival is free to the
public and has numerous demonstrations by the selling clay folks as
well as a silent auction and styling t-shirt. I'm looking forward to
catching some positive energy to carry me into MY studio to work.

Looking forward to seeing some of my favorite ClayArt buds as well.

Peace out, mother puggers

Isn't this only two weeks before the Wurstfest? Gads, one must fervently
wish there is no overlap!

Steve Slatin --

Steve, the Wursthall, home of Wurstfest, is a good 3 or 4 miles from
the Clay Festival, so it would be possible for both events to happen
concurrently. Hmmm, maybe I'll suggest it to the organizers. Of course,
to keep festive potters off the road, they would need shuttle busses
between the 2 venues.

This will be my 18th year at the Texas Clay Festival. There were 16
exhibitors the first year. I will be demonstrating at 11:00 Sunday morning.
Interestingly, considering the Clayart discussion of bats, my demonstration
this year is "Out of Whack". I will be using bats that are purposefully
not centered and/or level.

Bats not level demo? That's not because of what you did to your leg right?

Because it's David Hendley I can understand the "not centered, out of whack
part".

See you this weekend!
