Hi Gang,

Been fun reading this thread. About 6 months ago, I got interested in DE
and started reading a bit. Bought a box of DE from the big box garden
center....Then I read that the pool type was less safe, as it had been
calcined. I think it would still be useful for ceramic play, but not quit=

as much for many of the other uses.

DMSO. I do know that our cats hate the stuff, and will run if they smell
an open container.

When I was on another of my "material
science crack runs", I did some research on Limonene. This is an
extract from orange peels. It has a pleasant citrus smell, and is used in
a variety of flea soaps. It is also a great de-greaser and is used in som=

hand cleaners. My favorite use of limonene though is that it dissolves
styrofroam.=3DA0 In fact, Sony Corp is using it to recycle in Japan.
Using Limonene, polystyrene (styrofoam) can be recycled to almost virgin
quality.
=3DA0=3DA0=3DA0=3DA0 But alas, I digress. Thanks for the
number of neat Kiln mud recipes.=3D20

Jim
