The primary difference in sound, if no cracks are in the picture, is
vitrification. My unglazed red earthenware, fired to cone 1, rings more
nicely than my cone 10 porcelain.

As Pete Pinell has shared here from his tests: earthenware fired to a littl=
=3D
e
higher cone tests stronger than any other clay he tested.
