Hi, I'm having a real problem getting my commercial transparent earthenwa=

to flux. Every tiny imperfection is showing up after the firing. For inst=

spray the glaze, after firing the surface has an even, shiny coat of 'ora=

peel'. The glaze seems to be maturing fine, it is just very stiff.

I don't usually use glazes, and if I do I use dry glazes so this problem =

never rearead it's ugly head before!

I've never had this problem with other kilns, only in my kiln at home - a=

I'm firing 150 p/h straight up and I dropped it to 100 p/h yesterday with=

a one=3D20
hour soak at top temp but I still have the same problem. The kiln has bee=

general purpose although I had a similar problem when I tried Emmanuel=3D20=

Cooper's transparent too.

Also, is there any way to fix the (almost) ruined plates? I have a show c=

Thanks,
