cerdec red inclusion stains

I just bought the Cerdec inclusion stain sampler from Trinity Ceramics
in Dallas and was wondering if anyone knew about any safety
considerations I should be aware of. Can these be used on functional
ware? I will be testing the reds in some of my functional glazes and
was wondering if anyone has information about toxicity. The literature
says that the cadmium is surrounded and will not burn out at cone 10.
That doesn't tell me if I can use it on a mug. I've heard a lot of
people raving about how great they are. ClayTimes had an article not
long ago. They look nice, I hope I can use them the way I want. Any
help is appreciated.

Fred Herbst
