Easiest way is to get a Gmail account.

In the listserve's infinite wisdom, does anyone know how to set up a
separate mailbox on the computer for the list.
I want all the "clayart" mail to go into one mailbox on my computer
and have the personal mail in
the original mailbox.
Does that make any sense?
Thanks.

Yes, if your e-mail program allows it! (It really has nothing to do
with the fact that Clayart operates on a listserv--it just standard e-mail)

It appears to me, from the "headers" of your message, that you're
using Apple Mail, Version 2.936, yes?

I'm not an Apple owner myself, but there are others here who are and
can likely help. If not, Google something like, "how to set up
multiple Apple Mail mailboxes"

I love the way gmail stacks up each thread together, instead of clogging
everything up. Easy to hop between the replies!

Beverly -- essentially every kind of software
you likely could be using will allow for this,
but to tell you how to do it we'll need to
know what kind of software you're using
-- the steps differ somewhat, and the names
for the things you have to select differ wildly.

Usually this has to do with your inmail folders and the filters you set
for these folders. In your tool bar, look for something like 'folders', or
'settings' and in them look for 'filters' and click on that and you'll
find ways to get mail with either certain words in the subject line or
certain names in the 'from' or other keys to go into certain folders.
Easier to do than to describe!

For example, my inmail sorts into folders for 'inbox', 'alpine-l',
'trillium-l', 'clay-art' and so on.

Thanks all.
For ease and separation I will probably do a gmail acct.
Interesting , though, how others deal with the issue.
While setting up "iphone", I realized that keeping things separate =3D20
would be
a great deal easier.
Thanks for your input.
