Imagine a neighborhood nearby where children go to bed hungry.
Imagine how 1500 bowls filled with soup could help feed them.

Join members and friends of The Clay Connection for an Empty Bowls
Supper. With a $10 donation to benefit SOME (So Others Might Eat), you get
to select a handcrafted bowls to keep, a meal of soup and bread, live music
and pottery demonstrations.

Friday, March 13 at St Anthony's School, 3305 Glen Carlyn Road,
Falls Church, VA - 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Snowdate, March 20).

Potters needed to contribute bowls for our Empty Bowls Supper. If
any potter would like to contribute a bowl(s), you may send them c/o Fran
Newquist at Manassas Clay, 9122 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110
703-330-1173. Include your business card or your name and address so that
we may acknowlede your contribution. If you are in the area, please stop
by. Come early, lines start forming early. You may e-mail me at
Fnew@erols.com to pledge your bowl(s). We need to receive the bowls by March 1.

This is a great project. The Clay Connection has sponsored four
Empty Bowls Suppers and last year raised over $9000 for SOME. We started
our with a goal of 500, then 1000, then 1200 and now 1500. All proceeds
benefit our charity. We can do this because we have good volunteers to make
soup, bakeries to make bread, and local businesses contributed paper
products and other goods.

E-mail if you need additional information. Thanks in advance.

Is there a group in my area? If not - how can I start one here?
