bisque firing in gas kiln

one of our gas kilns has both a limit mode and a soak mode, allowing
the thing to shut off automatically at a set temperature or to cycle
on and off at a set temperature. with the soak mode, the kiln raises
and lowers in temperature over about a 10-15 degree range while
cycling on and off. this soak mode is nice since early in the firing
it allows you to ramp up the temperature slower than you could by just
setting the burners and letting it go, as the lowest setting on the
burners is too high to keep the temperature rise to 200F/hr.

I was wondering if when going through the quarz inversion temperature
range if it is bad for the work to keep cycling through this
temperature range over and over when bisque firing?
