If you use a type K thermocouple that is completely encased like an=3D20
Omega KQXL-14U-12, you can expect well over 100 firings with very=3D20
little drift, at about $40 a thermocouple. Type S will last longer but i=
=3D
s=3D20
very fragile and will also become contaminated over time. The beauty=3D20
of the Omega is that when the Low Drift sheald gets a pinhole in it the=3D2=
0=3D

thermocouple will immediately fail because of the fine gauge wire.=3D20
Omega engineer's will help you adapt this T/C to what ever T/C=3D20
connections you now have.
