Frank Giorgini's - Handmade Tiles.

I use the French cleat hanging method described in his book all of the
time for hanging tile murals my students make.

I am not a big fan of permanently attaching tiles to the walls in
schools. Every six years the entire student population at my
elementary school changes, and I like the art on the walls to be made
by the kids who are attending the school, not ghosts of kids from the
past. The Giorgini book has lots of great information on all kinds
of tiles, working methods and installations. You can get a used
hardcover on Amazon.com for $4.99.

I have some books on Roman mosaics which I love. I have perused books on
mosaic but find a lot of them lacking in substance and inspiration, thoug=

I have Two. Probably the better of the two is "The Mosaic Book:Ideas
,projects and techniques" by Peggy Vance and Celia Goodrick Clarke , but =

I
haven't yet find that super duper great book on mosaic.
It may be out there, because certainly there is exciting work being done
these days. you can probably find similar how- to info on the web. there =
