Hello All
I just found a site that advertizes Olympic Electric kilns (Model 2327HE) a=
t
reasonable prices.
My question: does anyone have any experience with these kilns ???
Are they reliable, durable and do they reach the temps they state (Cone 10)
without any problems ???
I'd totally appreciate any/all feedback on this . . . .
Thanks
Chae

I have one of their kilns. It is designed to go to ^10 but I don't fire
that high. It was new when I got it, has fired to cones 05, 04, and 6
consistently, and despite being oval seems to fire evenly throughout the
space. I haven't had it that long so I can't attest to its life span. I
have a friend that's been firing for years in hers and has had a good
experience. They are fairly common around here since Flowery Branch, GA is
just down the road.

I don't know why Olympic kilns get such a bad rap...I had their biggest ova=
l
for twenty years of medium to heavy firing(mostly at o3) and never had a
problem with it...but I have no idea how it would do at cone 8 or 10...

I've had an Olympic Oval kiln for about 20 years now. It gets heavy school =

use but I only fire to cone 04.=3D20

The lid is so strong I think I could dance on it. I recommend it highly.=3D=
