I want to thank all of you who replied on list and off list to my
query about a gas kiln for $3K.

Based on what I have read and the potters I know in person who have
used one, I am going to pass on the Olympic updraft gas kiln.

My first order of business is to find out the capacity of my one inch
gas line. Once I know that I can determine what kind of kiln to build
or buy. I also have to run my plan past the city mechanical inspector
so I have some homework to do. I just finished reading Mel's book and
it gave me plenty to think about along with all the advice I got from
clayart.

A big thanks to all,
