Just thought that I would share a great program that I am using to create a
slide show of my work on my website. I use a program named Jalbum,
www.jalbum.net . It was created for photographer=
s
to display and sell their work on the internet, but it works great for
selling pottery as well!

It is a VERY easy to use program if you have decent computer skills. The
standard system is free, I paid $35 for a years use of 1gig of space. You
can choose the layout parameters of the slideshow (called "skins"), and the=
n
import photos of your work. I use the skin called Chameleon, since it seem=
s
to offer the easiest PayPal setup. You can display the item for sale,
configure the sales information, and the slide show will have a price and
PayPal button for each image. Slick! I simply integrated it into my
standard website, and Viola! Individual images with PayPal.

So far, I have grouped items of the same price, ie: 2 qt pitchers of one
price are under one gallery selection, small teapots of a single price poin=
t
are grouped in another selection.

I am still tweaking the finer points on this project, but take a look at my
website; go to "gallery" then choose "new work available" and you can see
how it works. Let me know what you think, and if you come across a problem=
,
please let me know!

Hey Robin,
Thanks for the tips. I've used jalbum before and really like it as well.
I've never tried their online service though.

When someone makes a purchase do you have to remove the image from your
gallery manually or does it automatically get taken out? Or is there a way
to mark items as "sold"?

Thanks,
