The Harn is an impressive museum, with a beautiful rotunda gallery that wil=

house this show. By then, we hope the new Asian wing addition will be open.
Please circulate to anyone who may be interested. Circumstances beyond our
control delayed the prospectus for this show.



*Alchemy: From Dust to Form**

*About the exhibition:* The exhibition *Alchemy: From Dust to Form* is
organized at the University of Florida by the Harn Museum of Art in
collaboration the School of Art and Art History. On view from March 1 to
September 11, 2011, the exhibition is planned as a complement to the
45thannual NCECA conference in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida, March
30-April 2,
2011. The exhibition highlights the strength of contemporary American
functional and sculptural ceramics. Up to 50 works will be displayed in th=
=3D
e
museum=3D92s 3000 square foot Rotunda Gallery. A catalogue will be produce=
d =3D
and
made available on line and in CD format. Artists will be responsible for on=
=3D
e
way shipping and insurance. The museum will pay return shipping up to
$150.00. All works will be insured by the Harn Museum of Art while on site
and during return shipping .

*Exhibition dates:* March 1, 2011 =3D96 September 11, 2011

*Eligibility:*

The competition is open to artists 18 years and older who are not currently
enrolled as students, who reside in the United States.

*Entry Procedures:*

Submission must be made online through Juried Art Services. All submission=
=3D
s
must be received by October 14, 2010.* *Artists may submit up to three work=
=3D
s
with two images per entry; one full view and one detail. All entries must
be submitted electronically using digital images.
