Hello,

I want to offer a short summary of all the wonderful information I gathered
from everyone's answers to my problem, cracks and greenware. Thank you to
all of you. :)

1/ Cover the attached areas with wax. Possible drawback: discoloration of
bisque and/or glazing problems.

2/ Make a slip adding vinegar or toilet paper or saliva to the clay.
Vinegar was the most advocated ingredient. Clean up the crack and apply
the slip.

3/ Use spooze: 1/3 clay, 1/3 vinegar, 1/3 corn syrup, plus a few drops of
peroxide to keep it from smelling bad.

4/ Add a generous pinch of the top brown part of the cat tail plant (the
fibers) to the clay and mix with vinegar. Repeat until the crack
disappears then burnish.

5/ Find out what you're doing wrong during creation of the form: Is it too
thick, drying unevenly, drying too fast, or not compressed enough? Start
over.
