Here is a guy that uses Styrofoam cups and a Sharpie, but the idea
could just as easily been done on porcelain cups with a slip trailer.

These are in fact really cool! Skilled and
very entertaining drawing.
I note also the clever use of mirrors in his
photographs - a quick and easy way to
document the backside of the work in the
same shot as the front.
