Well i finally jojned the semi-modern age and posted a youtube video on How=
To =3D0Ause The Steve Tool for pottery texture on pots.=3DA0 i guess like =
a go=3D
od demo it =3D0Abegs=3DA0further questions on how to do this or that affect=
h the tool as =3D0Awell....=3DA0 but give me time....=3DA0 if anything the =
fast f=3D
undementals are shown in =3D0Athe clip.=3DA0 =3D0A=3D0A=3D0Ahttp://www.yout=

=3DA0on a tripod.=3DA0 if i was =3D0Athinking more i'd have zoomed in furth=
or i would have had the sterio going =3D0Awith some classier music i usual=

the amco-brent people talked me into trying this at=3DA0one of Marjon's Cla=
s "clay =3D0Aolympic" things.=3DA0 it never occured to me to try it either.=
=3DA0 =3D
=3D0A=3D0A=3D0Athrow a cylinder.=3DA0 use a rib to clean the gook off the s=
THEN apply slip =3D0Awhile the cylinder spins around.=3DA0 THEN roll the t=
re wheel up or down per =3D0Ausual.=3DA0 the slip doesn't get all screwed u=
p li=3D
ke i thought it would, but enables =3D0Athe texture points to stab into the=
laybody leaving the untouched slip areas =3D0Afine.=3DA0 then stretch the p=
ot n=3D
ormally.=3DA0 =3D0A=3D0A=3D0Athe result will be a transition from slip to c=
laybody =3D
with a textured affect as =3D0Awell.=3DA0 sometimes i see a stratafication =
slip to claybody.=3DA0 =3D0A=3D0A=3D0Ai've done this for "wow" affects at =
demos be=3D
cause it shows texture easily from =3D0Afar away.=3DA0 but haven't used it =
gh to make really cool looking pots.=3DA0 the =3D0Aconcept is pretty neat.=
=3DA0 n=3D
o reason it couldn't be used in other fashions as =3D0Awell.=3DA0 such as c=
ng quickly before stretching.=3DA0 =3D0A=3D0A=3D0Ai do use if for pots that=
are hea=3D
ding to raku.=3DA0=3DA0i'll use an 05/06=3DA0glaze and =3D0Aafter bisque ad=
d a raku=3D
glaze.=3DA0 it's a very busy result.=3DA0 if it was garlic you'd =3D0Asmel=
l the =3D
pot a mile away.=3DA0 lots of visuals with the textures, colors, =3D0Acontr=
