Hi All,
I am interested in a clear glaze recipe that works well at cone 2 or 3. Do =
you have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Hi Meryl,

I have 3 majolica glaze variations on my website that I fire regularly
to cone 1-3. Take the superpax out of them for clear. I use Rovin's
RO-82 terra cotta clay body. When I used the glazes over tiles bisque
fired to cone 04, the glaze was milky and had some bubbles in it. By
chance, I tried glazing a tile that I had fired to cone 1, and it came
out crystal clear. So I started bisque firing kiln loads of tiles at
cone 1, then dipping them into glaze and refiring to cone 1 and I
ended up with a very nice clear. You can find the recipes on this
page...

most of the recipes on this page are for cone 6, but the majolica
glazes are for cone 1-3.
