The seven-week classes I am offering will be held on Thursdays, and =3D20
there will be a class in the morning from 9:30 to 12:30, and one in =3D20
the evening from 6:30 to 9:30.

First session: August 26th through October 7th
Second session: October 21st through December 9th (not meeting on =3D20
Thanksgiving)

I am also teaching four separate one-day workshops, each focusing on =3D20
a specific project

The Shape of Summer Butter
Saturday, August 21st, 2010
10:00am =3D96 5:00pm

Don=3D92t you just love the shape of summer butter, that golden trough =3D2=
0
shot through with blackened corn-silk? Annie does, and she likes a =3D20
fancy butterdish that can hold it=3D92s own on a crowded picnic table, =3D2=
0
too. This workshop includes double-sided slabs, puffed handles, =3D20
altering, cutting, and reassembling thrown elements, as well as =3D20
joining them to textured slabs. Students will also learn how to make =3D20
and use templates. Beginning throwing skills are ideal, but not =3D20
absolutely essential.

Cost: $125.00 ($155 Non-Members) $15 Materials Fee

Cups, Glorious Cups!
Friday, September 17, 2010
10:00am - 5:00pm

Learn how to make the potter=3D92s basic and most successful form, the =3D2=
0
cup, using textured slabs and paper templates. Annie makes cups a =3D20
slow and deliberate way, taking a cue from the slow food movement. =3D20
=3D93People really respond to nice cups, and they actually use them =3D20
everyday, which is what every potter hopes for their pots when they =3D20
send them out into the world,=3D94 she says. Learn the techniques of =3D20
making beautiful cups from start to finish, even if you=3D92ve never =3D20
played with clay before. Lessons include making and altering templates.

Cost: $125.00 ($155 Non-Members) $15 Materials Fee

Ewer Bazaar
Sunday, October 10, 2010
10:00am =3D96 5:00pm

In this workshop, students will use the wheel only as a jumping off =3D20
point to explore sculptural and expressive functional vessels. The =3D20
instructor will guide the class through the steps she uses to make a =3D20
ewer, but the actual design of the ewer will be up to each student. =3D20
This workshop includes joining textured slabs to thrown elements, =3D20
slab handles and spouts from templates, and the making of cute feet. =3D20
Beginning throwing skills are ideal, but not absolutely essential.

Cost: $125.00 ($155 Non-Members) $15 Materials Fee

and using templates, double sided slabs, puffed handles, the infamous =3D20=
