Maxine,
Check my web site that I just updated (still need to tweak a few things)
that has a page on ^6 reduction glazes we have been using. Images of tests
included. We do a rather light reduction. A body reduction around 1800F-
back pressure at bottom spy hole - no flames or smoke ever - then light
reduction all the way up.

I would say cone 019 is way too early to start reduction - you'll get
black-coring. I start reduction
at cone 010 and my glazes come out just fine. I have shino, celadon,
oxblood, temmoku, etc.

Look up Diana Pancioli's glaze forward project for cone 6 reduction
glazes. http://www.dianapancioli.com/
Also the book Glazes Cone 6
http://www.amazon.com/Glazes-Cone-1240-Ceramics-Handbooks/dp/0812217829
I use recipes from both. There was an article maybe a year ago or so in
Ceramics Monthly with some cone 6
reduction recipes also.
