not hare's fur, just some fun.
experiments with joe koons.
mel's new blue
joe's persimmon
mel's white/sorta ash/pumice with zircopax.
( will keep searching for a white clear under/over glaze, something
strange and old. i do not need recipes, just ideas from my brain. )

i want you to note the use of multiple glazes to achieve
a very interesting third and fourth glaze affect.
each on their own are rather boring...combine them, and
to me, it is magic.

blue glaze in pounds and spoons:

frist 3134 3.3 pounds
fels 11.6 "
whiting 6.6 "
talc 1.7 "
silica 1.7 "
epk 1.1 " makes a nice almost five gallons.
two teaspoons of cobalt ox.
one teaspoon of chrome
pinch of copper.
fired to hot cone 10, 11 bending.
this is a glaze from colleen riley palmquist made for the farm last summer.
i think she got it from maybe someone else. jack troy maybe.
i have taken liberties with this glaze.
we call it mlbhooza. (mother in law blue hoooza)

ash glaze : big scoop of pumice.
one cup of gertsley, add 4 heaping tablespoons of zircopax.

any temmoku, persimmon will work.

i have been farting with blue for over a year. you will note that there
are no tiles, chits, or tests. i make pots and use glazes i know will work=
.
i fired about 80 pots in this firing, most all blue and temmoku, with
some a few
alfred yellow and temmoku, altered. i added temmoku to the alfred glaze
to give it some life. added ground taconite.
