Hey, Lee and everybody

Links to finished work would be much appreciated. I am into process
as much as anybody. But as they say, "The proof is in the puddin'."

(I know I've been doing alot of talking lately, but I'm really excited abou=
t my next wave of work, and
I realize that I don't have very much to show in the way of finished work, =
I guess this is just the rhythm of my personal evolution.
I really have thrown thousands of pots in the past twenty years ,
I did'nt really think I was ready to decorate any pots, and record them as=
mine,
(I sold most of them as greenware to various people),
but I'm getting towards middle age and I guess,
I should formalize and 'own up to' (I've always bee anonymous for the most =
part) a body of work,
for better or worse, just to get a general opinion.(I already 'know' what p=
eople think of my work decorated by 'other' people).
As far as formal decorating techniques,
I've looked into 'graphic motif', 'literal motif', 'cartouche','segway', an=
d the 'dynamics' of the color wheel , (cool/warm, complents/opposites, etc.=
) among other things.
I plan to employ a neo-classical hodge-podge of shapes and themes.

Anyways, I really don't have any thing finished right now (except the rough=
draft of a book) so I guess I'm going to sign off for awhile and I'll come=
back when I have some pots to show and tell.)

(Oh and on the subject of 'Classical' pottery traditions, I would also incl=
ude the 'egote' stick throwing method from Japan.)

Peace,
Dayton
