Hi,
Just wondering about using metallics or lusters. New to glazing, I've heard
that because of the lead content that leaches, the use of these glazes can
hurt your electric kiln, or lead will leach into the liln and then into
other ware. Do I need a separate kiln to do this type of firing? Are there
lusters/metallics (not sure the difference) that are safer to use? Also,
Any firing tips would be appreciated. I am thinking of adding a metallic to
a piece I just low fired to spiff it up.

Also, an unrealted question. I used a latez resist on a piec and then
couldn't peel it off very well. Is there some latex product more condusive
to resist than others or do I just need to apply a thicker coat?

full of questions from the self taught (well not exactly)
Thanks,
Centa
