I'm currently an undergrad at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa studying
ceramics and am looking for an Iowa wood firing potter who might be able =
=3D
to
help me learn a little more about wood firing. My college (being located =
=3D
in
a busy area) does not have a wood kiln, but I am very fascinated with the=
=3D
process, results, and aesthetics.=3D20
I have done ample research into the basics, but know that there is no
substitute for real experience. I'm looking for the opportunity to assist=
=3D
in
a firing (loading, stoking, unloading) if possible. This experience would=
=3D
be
a great benefit to me in my preparation for the future (hopefully graduat=
=3D
e
school, apprenticeship, residency.)
I am a very dedicated and reliable worker. Any help would be extremely
appreciated!
