Thank you for taking some time to look at my 1st book project.

*Potters of Japan* has been researched and written over the last five years=
I'm in need of help generating money to pay a printer. I'm self publishing
this book because it's not big enough for a publisher to do it.

The 1968 documentary film *Potters of Japan* by Richard and Marj Peeler
played a role in the development of my work as a potter.

*Today, Potters of Japan* is a book that reviews the nine pottery families.
It takes a look at the work of the potters in the film and a look at the
ceramic work of their children and grandchildren. I have followed the
original sequence and format of the film. Color photographs of their work,
kilns, and studios, tells the story. I have written an introduction and
information about pottery in Japan today.

Kickstarter is a chance for you to assist with printing this project.
Interviews are complete. Photographs have been taken. The book has been
typeset. Now, it=3D92s your chance to help continue to tell the story of th=
pottery families.

Kickstarter is a new way to fund ideas and endeavors. It is a funding
platform for artists, designers, filmmakers, musicians, journalists,
inventors, explorers and more. It is a unique all-or-nothing funding method
where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.

*My kickstarter project is here:*

People have already pledged 1/3 of the needed money to pay the printer to
get started. Your assistance to help print this book if only $1 may help
others learn about the unique qualities of handmade pottery.

Lots of Kickstarter information here

If you know anyone who can help (family, friends, twitter, or facebook)
please pass this information to them. Printing costs are very high and my
initial goal of $3000.00 is only part of the printing costs.

You may also contact me directly at billgeisinger@gmail and I will collect
your pledge here by mail and wait till May 1st to determine if there is
enough support for this project.
