Thanks Bonnie,
I was planning on using grout and there is this a "new to me' product out
,Wellbond, that is a fast bonding adhesive for vertical surfaces. The
directions say when mixed with grout it drys even faster. Theres another
method too of after sealing the cement wall, coat both the wall and the
shard with wellbond and allow to dry. Then when ready to work brush both
surfaces with isopropyl alcolhol to reactivate and the stick should be near
instant but to tape it for 1 hour just to be sure. I just wondered if anyon=
e
had used either one of those methods. I could trowl a thickish layer of the
mix on to a portion of the wall and push the shards right into it, omitting
the first step of glueing them on. I guess I will try each method on a boar=
d
first and see how fast they dry. I am using mostly average of 2-3 in pieces
so the weight of the shard is not significant. I will let you know what
happens,
Carolyn,

Hi
I would trowel the wall with thinset.
Then butter back each piece with thinset then set the shard or tile or
tessera onto the wall.
Wait 24 hours then apply grout or if sharp shards dremmel the sides then
grout.
Wait 48 hours and apply a sealer to the grout.
Thats what I have been doing and it works for me.
