Safely put away in my studio--which only I use-- where nobody can get to =
=3D
them, are several jars of stain I got in 1954 or so. They are =3D
Drakenfeld, and one is from source unknown, and I got them at Stewarts =3D
on Mulberry Str (?) in NYC. No ideas what is in them...one yellow...one =
=3D
pinkish..

Are we clear on that? Why do I keep them? Sentimental value--for =3D
"Dagobert and Peregrine and I/ Were younger then..."

BUT : I have no idea whether the old glazes Randall asks about are just =3D
old to Former Owner, or whether Former Owner got them twenty years =3D
earlier and they contain Heaven knows what.

I do know that as late as four five years ago catalogs still warned that =
=3D
some glazes they sold were not dinnerware safe....

As to the glaze "spoiling"--I expect there may be some gum arabic or =3D
similar in there, that could set up a nasty smell.
