I just want to bring ClayArt up to date. You may not remember, but
because I work in porcelain, I was one of the people struggling with
oxidation of the aluminum inside my Bailey pug mill. Jim Bailey
suggested that if I was willing to use my machine as a prototype, he
would try to line it with stainless steel, which should solve the
problem. After a couple of false starts, I've had it in place for a
couple of days, and it's a pretty good solution, it's working the way
a pug mill should.

I don't know if Jim is planning on offering it as an alternative when
you buy a mill, but I believe the cost, compared to a completely
stainless machine, will be attractive.

I don't mean to sound like a shill for Bailey, but I do want to repeat
how remarkably responsive Jim was to my problem. He called me (and
yes, I did just say, HE called ME!), perhaps a dozen times trying to
resolve this issue. It's as if it became a personal challenge to him,
to create a solution that he would be proud to have his name attached
to.

If anything else arises, I'll let you know, but right now, I'm
delighted to have my studio back in order and functioning well. I
really do love my pug.
