Has anyone used this group to travel?

Any feedback? Hows that food? Etc.

Also:Here is a nifty site that gives you a view of what happened the year y=
ou were born or any other year for that matter, between 1900 -2008.

Frank,

I went to China on this tour with "Po". It was absolutely
fantastic/intoxicating (without alcohol). I would highly recommend it.

Po is the nicest person and really takes care of his charges. The fact tha=
t
he is Chinese by birth and lives in the US also helped; he is sort of the
brdige between the two cultures. The local tour guides give you the
authorized Chinese version of things. If in doubt, ask Po in private and
you will get the real story.

When Po was in charge (which was mostly the first half of the trip, the foo=
d
was fantastic. Once another guide took over, the food in my opinion was no=
t
that great. My educated guess is they were saving money.

All of the sites we went to were fabulous. Just thinking about it makes me
want to return.

Best wishes let me know if you go and what you think.

Sincerely,

Ingeborg

Frank,
I agree with Ingeborg about the travel tour you ask about. It has been
a few years since I went to China with Guangzhen "Po" Zhou. Po is from
Shanghai, lives with his family in California, earned an MA at U.
Minnesota-Duluth, MFA at San Jose State, is a great sculptor in his own
right, but most important for you he is a genial, gracious, energetic,
enthusiastic, considerate, honest person. I found the tour a fantastic
experience. The food is restaurant fare, ample and adequate provided you
like Chinese food. :-) You will likely find the tour tiring from trying
to see so much so fast for so many days. Of the purely ceramic art tours
available when I went to China, I would say based on meeting the different
tour leaders that this was the one most likely to be fun and hassle free.
All the best,
Dave Finkelnburg
