I love pot centered threads I get to learn from!!! So here's my question=3D=
3B
=3D20
While I know there is nothing in any of the shinos I know about that would
be hazardous to our health (after fired that is)=3D2C why use them as a lin=
er=3D
?
Most are rough=3D2C a lot craze like crazy=3D2C they are covered with pinho=
les =3D
&
blisters and I would wonder about the liner being water/food tight if the
body is not fully vitrified.
=3D20
I love shinos - on the outside but never use them inside. Or am I missing
something?

Surface condition varies to a large degree, but I am not
familiar with blistered cratered shinos. None of mine are ruff.
Because of the high surface tension of some shinos, they can crawl if
applied thick. Crazing is also often dependent upon the thickness of
a glaze like this.

But I am with David on this. We serve nobody by frightening
folks about shino glazes.

Ugly glazes, imho, are the potter's worst enemy. ;^)
