starting to work on tiles

I took the sketch book with me on the cruise, and I worked out a
design for one tile installation. One down, three to go.

This is a bit down the road, but no sense waiting until the last
minute. I've a photo on my blog of the water by Cozumel. It's the most
beautiful blue/green I've ever seen. Yep - I want to reproduce that
for the tiles.

I'm working with ^6 and using a white clay body specially formulated
for making tiles. I'll test out any recipes sent to me and see if I
can come close to that wonderful color.

TIA

Later today, Jim and I will go to the clay studio and work on a clay
version of the tile. From that, we will use Vince's book to make a
plaster mold. If this is half as much fun as I think, I may have to
tile the entire outside of my house as well as most of the inside.
Heck - who wants to climb on ladders to pain rooms anyway?

Deb, now I see why I've been dreaming of bright blue skies, a white sand be=
ach, and the sparkling blue-green ocean somewhere way South of the border. =
A friend of mine from El Salvador says Costa Rica is the most beautiful. Ha=
ha, there's an idea! Sell off the kiln load when it is fired along with al=
l my other junk, move to Central America, and live pretty good and warm for=
another 10 or 15 years. I'm sure there is clay around somewhere, they have=
enough mud slides.

A well inspired tile too, seems like waves and ocean foam.
