First , I have decided to discontinue my home page on Apple's Mobil Me.

So if anyone wants to download the directions for inkjet decal
making you better download while it is up . Last day is Jan. 9, 2010.
The URL is in the footer of this email.

Second I want to correct a misconception - the ink that I have
developed for the inkjet printer contains no ceramic stain. It is a
clear ink whose sole purpose is to wet the gum on decal paper and
make it sticky. The ink contains no ceramic stain. That is put on
later.

After printing the image with this ink you have a piece of decal
paper that has nothing on it but clear ink. It is not a ceramic
decal yet.

An inkjet printer is not even needed . If you have the skill, you can
draw the sticky image by hand using a pen loaded with the ink.

Next step is to sprinkle mason stain on the paper (by hand) and
lightly brush it (by hand) with a fluffy brush moving the powder
around over the whole image (by hand). Then you dump off the excess
stain powder and rub the image with a paper towel to clean up the
whites. This step ia called embossing.

It is then possible to put the paper through the printer again to
lay down the ink for a second color which is applied by hand just
like the first color.
