If you are in need of a little change of pace, here is a link to the most
amazing piece of performance art I have ever seen:

http://video.telegraph.co.uk/services/player/bcpid1137883380?bctid=3D170756=

The piece, by a bunch of farmers and dogs in New Zealand, involves the
shepherding of a large flock of sheep, all of which are draped with blanket=
s
of colored LED lights. Bravo!

All the best.

Just to set the record straight, I have been informed that the ever so
talented shepherds, dogs, and sheep who created this wonderful work are in
fact Welsh, not New Zealanders. All apologies for denying Wales this glory=
.

Hi James,

I'm glad you corrected this extraordinary performance as it seemed Welsh
indeed. The Welsh sheepdogs are a breed apart and can perform feats hard t=
o
repeat anywhere else. I stayed on a Welsh farm once near St Davids and th=
e
farmer needed to get his flock of about 500 -600 sheep off the hills that
day. He had about 5 dogs and after breakfast gathered them in the farmyard
and spoke to them and gave them whistle instructions. The dogs listened,
bounded off alone down the road and up into the hills. He took no more
notice and just continued with his farm chores. At around 5pm the sheep
were pouring into the yard, followed by the dogs, who had worked
considerable distances on the moorland, (which is open, rough ground)
throughout the day, rounding them up from the gullies and the rocks . He
was justifiably proud of his dogs and said they could do what a battalion o=
f
soldiers would find impossible.

I know, I know, this is off topic but it was nothing short of miraculous,
though I suppose all in a day's work to these dogs.. ( As a p.s. some farme=
r
friends bought a Welsh sheepdog to work their English sheep, but had to
return him because he only spoke Welsh).

That's the end of my off topic. Frances Howard

I think this is an offshoot of ..is it handmade?
The article states it is mostly sheperding with a few digital details.
