testing kilns with a multimeter

updated thu 3 dec 09

I have just loaded a video on the multimeter to youtube:

The video shows how to test for volts, ohms, and amps. In
one of the tests, you will see the voltage drop when the
kiln relay clicks on. That is the voltage under load test.

Arnold, that is a fine, informative video, with just
the right safety warnings. BTW, I especially
appreciated the warning not to test R on a hot
circuit. I did that many years ago, and I still have
the meter--absent that particular mode.

And finally, tell the lady who narrated the film that
at least one old Texan (Refugio and Dewitt Counties)
was thrilled to hear that Dallas area accent one more
time.

Mil Gracias...~jess, a North TX U ex
