Has anyone used AMACO kiln cement for repairs on the IFB inside an electric
kiln? The AMACO catalog says,

"Cracks and chips in kiln refractory can be permantently sealed with AMACO
Kiln Cement....When mixed with course grog or pieces of refractory cement
may be used to repair large holes in firebrick..."

Cracks, chips, holes, that's what I have.

I would first spray with ITC 100 then fill cracks with ITC 200.

I have used Amaco kiln cement before . Make sure all dust and chips are removed
.. And make sure it is fresh kiln cement . More than once i got rock hard cement
.. It usally last a few hudred firing before i needed to touch up or redo . I do
not recomend using inside of the lid . Because of dusting . Goodluck,
