the (not so) high price of firing

Hey Folks,

I had heard some scary rumours that firing my 18" by 22" skutt would
cost me upwards of $80.00!

I decided to check it out for myself. I took note of the meter and
began a ^06 firing. Six and a half hours later my firing was complete.
3hrs on low, 2hrs on med and 2hrs 28mins on high.

Total electric bill... $2.72 What a relief.

Can anyone tell me if gas is even cheaper??

Gas is a lot cheaper than electricity

Whether gas is cheaper might depend on where you live. Here
in Texas, natural gas is cheap, firings are very inexpensive in
that sense.
