My Home made "Slab Roller" started life as a Mangle or Wringer; used to squ=
eeze clothes dry(ish) between two rollers. Maximum thickness I get/need is =
3/4 inch. As I'm not primarily a hand builder but make flat pieces to add t=
o some of my thrown work, this is enough. What's even better is that the ro=
llers are rubber, and the whole shebang folds down into a table when not in=
use.
I just put the clay between two cloths with a wooden slat of the right thic=
kness on either side on a thin board and roll it through!
Works a treat!
