Hi all,

before I started making my own glazes (Using MC6G) I had some commercial
glazes. There are two I'd like to replicate - perhaps someone can help
me. One is a really dark blue/black glaze (it was very expensive). It
fires a really dark blue/grey background with small, irregular shaped
black bits. Since the wet glaze is grey, I'm thinking it's not cobalt
carb, probably cobalt oxide, perhaps some manganese diox or some mason
stain. I posted a pic on Flickr

but I'm not really sure if you can see it because I've no clue what I'm
doing. Fired to ^6, no slow cooling, iron bearing stoneware clay

The other glaze is white - called "Vanilla Spice" from the Clay Art
Center in Tacoma. A really nice white with little specs like the tiny
seeds from a vanilla pod. I can make a nice white, what do I use to make
the seed effect?

Thanks a bunch
