clay in septic tank

Clay is very an efficient sealer - Thats why they line ponds and garbage dumps
with it. It is not wise to let very much get into your septic system. Aside
from normal precautions such as not dumping scrap samples or slip into the
sink, I have also made a settling system using two 5 gallon plastic buckets.
The water from the sink drains into the first then into the second before
going into the septic tank. I must clean the settling buckets out about every
6 months. If you would like a drawing of the system let me know.
