David's suggestion is what I would do. I would take the base or bases you
like, and add line blends of
colorants which will yield a tan.

In my tests, besides Manganese and Rutile, I have found Titanium often give=
s
a yellow to tan color.

You could see a lot of tans in the Manganese tests at

in the Manganese Pink set. Most all of the tests were a tan or brown tan.
No pinks, but careful, many opalescent blue.
