Some off-list queries about my post had a few themes.
General answers:
All pots, new & old, big & small have a base price.

The same pot, the same treatment, may have different
results. The sales price is evaluated ex finishing
using base price as a start.

Pots are made on the principles of make fewer,
spend more time on each, charge what we believe
each pot to be able to fetch.

When, rarely, varying prices for apparently
identical items are queried, the explanation
of markdown or markup is accepted.

Discounts aren't offered, they have to be requested.
Conditions apply, total value & which pots.
